Who Are the 2 MasterChef Finalists?

Share

If you are a MasterChef fan then you already know the answer. If you are not yet a MasterChef fan, you should be. Out of over 30, 000 applicants, MasterChef selected 100 home cooks to go to Los Angeles to compete for the coveted white MasterChef apron. Only 19 of those home cooks made it into the MasterChef kitchen. They were Adriana Guillen, Beth Kirby, Bethy Rossos, Bri Kozior, Jessie Lysiak, Kathy Prieto, Krissi Biasiello, sasha Foxx, Savannah Sturges, Bime Cruz, Eddie Jackson, Howard Simpson, James Nelson, Jonny Blanchard, Jordan Roots, Lynn Chyi, Malcolm Green, Natasha Crnjac and Luca Manfe. Of the original 19, only two, Natasha and Luca, have made it to the MasterChef finale.

The MasterChef finale airs Wednesday, September 11 at 8pm ET on CTV in Canada and at 9/8c on Fox in the United States. Tune in to see who will win the MasterChef title, which brings along with it some pretty nifty perks – $250, 000 and the chance to publish their own cookbook to be exact.

Natasha Crnjac is a 26-year-old stay-at-home mom to her son, Diego, in San Diego, California. Born in South Africa to a Croatian father and Argentinian mother, Natasha moved to the United States when she was 9 years old and began cooking when she was 15. Read more about Natasha on San Diego Food Finds.

Natasha has proven she was a frontrunner for the MasterChef title from the start, with several of her fallen comrades predicting she will win it all. Will she? Tune in Wednesday, September 11, 2013 to find out!

2. LUCA MANFE

Luca Manfe is a 31-year-old restaurant manager in Astoria, New York. He grew up in Italy and is the first Italian to make it to the American MasterChef finale. Luca has always worked in the restaurant business starting work in a pub in his hometown of Aviano, Italy when he was 16. He moved to the United States when he was 21 and has cooked in New York and Florida and even Australia. Luca was not new to the MasterChef audition experience. He auditioned in Season 3 but never made it onto the show. Disappointed, but never one to give up, Luca says he just “kept his head down and cooked a lot”. He specifically concentrated on things he was not the most confident doing like baking desserts and just baking in general. He even quit his job two months before the audition to practice, spending the majority of his time in the kitchen.

His dedication paid off. Luca made it onto the show this year and is one of the MasterChef finalists. Will he be able to outcook Natasha to win the MasterChef title? Tune in Wednesday, September 11 to find out!

A male cook has never yet been crowned MasterChef. The Season 1 winner was Whitney Miller, the season 2 winner was Jennifer Behm and the season 3 winner was Christine Ha. Will Luca be the first man to ever win the title or will Natasha keep the streak alive?

You can buy Whitney Miller and Christina Ha’s cookbooks from Amazon.
